Departure Arts is dedicated to connecting everyone with performing and visual arts. We activate live music and visual art experiences from historically underrepresented artists, and bring audiences together in non-traditional venues like Roundhead Brewing Company.
ARTISTIC SPACE TO CREATE
With this initiative, Departure Arts promotes artistic risk-taking for the artists of Boston and beyond. We encourage artists to take risks, not often afforded to creatives, by providing services including grant application advising, creative project management, and creating opportunities for artists to collaborate across artistic disciplines.
COMMUNITY COLLABORATIONS
Departure Arts cultivates a thriving community through impactful collaborations. Partnerships with Emerson College and the Uncommon Stage sparked groundbreaking artistic experiences, pushing creative boundaries and fostering inclusivity. Beyond the stage, a collaboration with BAMS Fest led to the launch of Play Playe, a unique game night event fueled by Roundhead Brewing, that casually connected Boston area artists and audiences.
