Melody Figments LIVE
Experience the music, move in the web, and own the moment with "Melody Figments Live" by Maria Finkelmeier of MF Dynamics. This immersive multimedia activation in partnership with ILLUMINUS and Departure Arts, brings together live music, technology, and art for an unforgettable experience transcending traditional performance practice.
Finkelmeier will perform a 40-minute set of original music featuring the marimba, electronics, and live motion-tracked visuals at Roundhead Brewing. With projection powered by ILLUMINUS, detailed and dynamic 3D webs generated by tracking Finkelmeier’s movement as she performs, will be shown on the enormous walls of the brewery, taking the audience on a journey through the sonic experience.

About the Artists
Named a “one-woman dynamo” by the Boston Globe, Maria Finkelmeier is a percussionist, composer, professor, and new media artist. Whether it’s scoring conceptual art films, creating dance beats out of sourced audio samples from everyday life, to serving as both director and performer in multi-sensory public art installations, her work continually transcends both genre and medium.
Denver Nuckolls is a composer and performer focusing currently on the intersection between composed music, improvisation, and contemporary electronic systems. Using a variety of instruments and technologies, he aims to provide a reflective space for listeners to utilize external influence as a catalyst for inward exploration.
