More About Upper Structure:

Upper Structure was founded in 2015, making them the youngest a cappella group at Berklee College of Music. These humble beginnings started something none of the founding members could have imagined. Upper Structure placed second internationally at ICCA Finals in 2018 and 2021 and third internationally in 2024, taking home special awards for Best Choreography, Best Vocal Percussion and Best Arrangement. Upper Structure was named champion of the Los Angeles A Cappella Festival in 2020 and 2023 upon the post-COVID return of the festival, taking home special awards for Outstanding Arrangement, Best Rhythm Section, Outstanding Movement and Outstanding Soloist. Most recently, they released their EP “LAAF 2023” which won Best Religious Song at the 2024 CARA awards for the song “Salvation”. With each iteration, their members have continued to bring an emotional, empowering and innovative perspective to every performance. Upper Structure’s purpose is to make music with meaning and create something bigger than themselves.
